An unseen pursuer tracks your route with infrared scans, turning each hiding spot into a brief chance to regroup. You sprint beyond the scanner's range, find a place to strike, and watch the exit ahead. As the infrared sweep closes in during Spooky Escape, you move outside its range, pick a hiding spot, and choose when to strike the pursuer. Every pause lets the scanner narrow the gap behind you before you move. Replay the escape after getting caught, use a hiding spot outside the beam, and find a faster, safer path that leaves the pursuer behind before the next sweep reaches you.
